The Pros of working for yourself

As many of you know, I work for my self. I am a graphic designer/art director and have been self employed for over a year full time. In fact, today is my one year anniversary since I have started my company on a full time basis. Working for your self brings about many challenges but it can be very rewarding. Here are some of the pros of working for yourself.
• Sleep in in the morning - No set schedule
• take off when you need to
• answer to no one
• having a home office offers many benefits plus all the writeoffs that come with having your own business, like new equipment, etc.
• I get to spend way more time with my family
• I can be busy or as slow as I want to. It's up to me what work I take
• rewarding in that you have complete control of your company and when things do go right, it's very satifying.
• I can take a nap when I want to
• I can take a long lunch if I want to
• start late and quit early
• I dont have to commute. In fact I have only put on like 1000 miles on my car this year.
• I dont have to shower if I dont want to and sometimes, I don't
• I can enjoy taking my time reading the paper and drinking my coffee in the am
• I can crank the tunes while I work or watch tv
• I dont have to worry about big brother watching me while I Instant message someone
• I can go play golf...AND write off the expense
• It's so much fun
• I can sleep in!
